Dear Darkness, Boldly quiet, ageless grace Still and steady resting space First born calm eternal place Did you ever anticipate the downfall of your reign? The pain The bane Your slayer’s dressed in white Dear Shadow, Cools and tempers scorching ground Holds my hand without a sound Protecting shield sheltering around Were you worried to be found contender of good? Of could? Of should? Stand faithful to devastation Dear Midnight, You’re created just the same Separated by a name Shaded black to play his game Are you grieving since he came just to end your night? With might With light Never mattered who’s at fault
God created the heavens and the earth. The light and the darkness. The Lamb and the Serpent. In all things good and bad, God’s Will be done. But what happens when you realize you’re on the opposite side of His good? (What are Lyrics of Conviction?)
REFLECT
on the Words that God first gave to us. Meditate on the Truth that has made any of our words mean anything…
READ Genesis 1:1-4, Genesis 3:1
READ 1 John 1:5-7
READ Revelation 21:22-25
I watched the latest Spiderman just last night, so the idea of realizing something about oneself just won't move away from "with great power comes great responsibility" at the moment. But we are just the opposite of this. The more we learn, the more we see that we fall short. Any of our origin stories would be slowly learning with growing horror that we aren't bystanders. We're the main villains.
What a twist?
